Share it, don't shelf it
One of the best lessons I've learned in Emergency Preparedness is the importance of being resourceful. My job requires me to stay in tune with all the latest research and news in the vast world of public health emergency preparedness, which is an expansive umbrella that spans everything from epidemics to military tactics. Basically, I subscribe to a lot of listservs. At some point it occurred to me that I should be saving the best information/most interesting resources and posting them somewhere so other public health nurses (or anyone, really) can access these tools quickly. I mean, that's emergency preparedness in a nutshell, right? Weebly allows users to publish up to 10 pages for free, so this is my attempt to share knowledge on the cheap. This site was created on my own time and is not an official publication by Georgia Department of Public Health.
